Bill is survived by his wife of 23 years, Alden (Johnson) Finney, his sons Douglas and wife Angela of Concord, Peter and wife Sonja of Hingham, MA and Matthew and wife Liz of Concord, step daughters Abby Rodgers Pickens and husband Andy of Houston, TX, Cilla Rodgers Scofield and husband, Jeffrey of Seattle, WA and step son Tom Rodgers and wife Keri of San Francisco, CA, sister Bettey Tobey and husband Jack, 16 grandchildren and a great granddaughter. He is predeceased by his sister Kay Caldon of Johnstown, PA.
Bill was born in Concord on September 19, 1931 to Elliott and Claire (Jordan) Finney. He graduated from St. John High School and attended Progressive School of Photography in New Haven, CT. He served in the US Army in the Korean War from 1951-1954.
He lived in Concord and Hopkinton for many years before moving to Diamond Cove, Maine returning recently to live at Havenwood-Heritage Heights. Bill was a well known photographer and especially enjoyed traveling to Ireland over the past five decades. He was proud to have dual citizenship with Ireland and the US.
A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 pm on Friday, September 9, 2016 at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 North Main Street, Concord.
A memorial service and burial will be held privately.
