Noreen was born on October 1, 1959 in Everett, Massachusetts to Herbert and Doris (Noreen) Teehan. She was a resident of Chichester for most of her life.
Noreen went on to graduate from Salem State University in 1981, with a Bachelor of Science nursing degree. As a child, Noreen wished to be a cowboy… but unfortunately, they did not offer degrees for that. Noreen wore many hats, including VNA nurse, teacher at Nashua High, school nurse at Pittsfield High, triage nurse for Concord Hospital, and many more.
Noreen was a registered Nurse for over 40 years. Noreen kept working, and trying to help whoever she could even while going through her own battles with cancer during the pandemic. Helping others was a part of her core.
Noreen loved to spend time with family and friends at the ocean. When the ocean was calling, she had no choice but to go to it. She loved taking sunrise and sunset pictures. Noreen loved to garden (something she inherited from her late father Herbert). Noreen would go with her dad to Red Sox's games looking for bleacher seats and she loved watching Patriots games on tv. Noreen also enjoyed animals; she had two cats named Lilly and Milo, and two goats named Ricky and Daisy. She also had a soft spot for horses, and going horseback riding. Noreen was involved in 4-H and Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts.
Noreen was very proud of her Irish heritage. She fulfilled her lifelong dream of visiting her homeland in 2019, on a family vacation to Ireland - and yes, she did kiss the Blarney Stone. Noreen loved Saint Patrick’s Day, and could be found making her famous corned beef and cabbage every March 17th for everyone in the neighborhood.
Noreen was married to her husband James for over 38 years. They always enjoyed their second home on Cape Cod. They met in 1980, and married in 1983. Together they had three beautiful children: two sons Corey Falzone of Vacaville, CA, Brendan Falzone of Chichester, and daughter Kathleen Cass of Charlestown.
Noreen (Grandma Noonie) also leaves behind three grandchildren that she loved very much, Avery, Elania and Lucca; one sister Joyce Lenahan of Eustis, FL; one brother Kevin Teehan of Costa Rica; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed as a sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, friend, wife, and neighbor.
