Jeremy Parr

Jeremy Parr, 45, passed away on March 15th, 2024, in a room filled with his favorite songs and favorite people. His children tenderly cradled his hands and feet as they allowed him to transition into a new phase of fatherhood. He was lovingly held by his wife and best friend, Tia, as her gentle voice released him from this earth.

After a decade of fighting his failing body, he accepted the end with relief. He would appreciate everyone knowing that he wasn’t an amateur, for it wasn’t just the kidney disease, or the quadruple bypass, nor thirteen stints, or even the first five heart attacks that took him out. But, as Jeremy would say, “That sixth one was a doozy.”

Jeremy and Tia spent the last twenty-five years raising their five children through inside jokes and sentimental music. Rachel, Haylee, Andrew, Hannah, and Gavin know him through his silent strength and deafening optimism. Although Jeremy wasn’t born in NH, he always knew that it was where he and his family belonged.

He also leaves behind his mother and stepfather, Elizabeth and Robert Cvetic, his brother, Jacob Parr, and his stepbrother, Patrick Cvetic. His stepmother, Jane Driscoll, his half-sister, Madison Parr, and countless family members will also grieve his loss. Fortunately, his father, Jared Parr, and his best dog, Kaya, were waiting on the other side with a Redskins game all ready to go.

Jeremy, or Mr. The Best, as they liked to call him, spent the first half of his career working in Rent to Own. Living by the motto, “If you’re not first, you’re last,” he worked to become the youngest district manager and took great pride in his leadership roles for over fifteen years. As his health declined, a less demanding work environment became necessary, allowing him to change careers. When he thought about where his true passions resided, he knew his final job should be in car sales. His trustworthiness, optimism, and soft-spoken nature led to a lethal combination on the sales floor. He enjoyed that the less structured environment allowed him to spend time laughing with his friends and going home to what was truly the most important thing in his life.

Anyone who knew Jeremy knew he always spoke in song lyrics and movie quotes. He loved cooking on his Blackstone, Sunday night football, late-night drives, and Sargento cheese sticks. Visits from friends, family movies, and game nights filled with laughter, and some healthy competition, are by far the memories that will carry his family now.

Calling Hours will be held on March 29th, 2024, from 12-2 pm at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 North Main Street, Concord, NH 03301. In honor of his Irish heritage, the family will host a hooley in celebration of Jeremy’s life immediately following at their home.
