It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jason Michael Massey. Jason was welcomed into the arms of the Lord on Sunday, March 11, 2012. Jason will always be remembered for his humanity and devotion to those he knew as well as to strangers.
He could never pass a motorist in need without stopping to help them with their troubles. In so many instances, Jay’s day as an RN in the ICU & ER at Concord Hospital did not end with the end of his shift. He was always there for family to help someone through a cold or a virus, ache or pain. Jay was devoted to his family and never thought twice about working an extra shift to pay the bills.
Jay graduated from Pembroke Academy and went on to NHTI to earn his degree in nursing. Most recently he was enrolled at Franklin Pierce pursuing his bachelors to master’s degree in nursing. Jay also worked with various groups at Concord Hospital.
Jay will be dearly missed by his wife and best friend, Kelley. He also leaves his son, Cullum, who was his pride and joy, and son Weston who is expected to arrive any day. Jay leaves behind his father and mother, Scott and Barbara Anstey, brother and close friend, Matthew Anstey, brother Michael Brussard and sisters Krystal Anstey and Tessa Smith, grandparents Ron and Shirley Anstey and Cynthia Coulter, his uncle Philip Massey. Jay is also survived by his mother and father-in-law Janice and James Tuttle as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, a niece and nephew. Last but certainly not least, Jay leaves behind his core group of devoted friends since middle school, Robert Bowen and Stephen Arling.
Calling hours will be from 1-3 followed by a Celebration of Life and reception at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 14 Mammoth Road, Hooksett, NH. In lieu of flowers a contribution may be made with a check payable to the Massey Family, c/o Citizens Bank, 54 Main Street, Pittsfield, NH 03263 to help defray costs and to benefit Cullum and Weston.
The Bennett Funeral Home of Concord is in charge of the arrangements.
