Eleanor Hayeslip Colby, age 99, died at Havenwood, Concord, NH on January 10, 2023. She was the daughter of Margaret Grant Hayeslip and William Henry Hayeslip, She was pre-deceased by her husband, Frank Parker Colby and by her brother, Dr. David Hayeslip of Pittsburgh, PA. She is survived by her daughters Margaret Colby-Bittner (Rob), and Claire Colby-Hielscher (Raimund) of Dortmund, Germany, and her son Dr. Frank P. Colby, Jr. (Beverly) of Lexington, MA.
Eleanor was born in Manchester, NH, grew up in Albany, NY, graduated from New York State College for Teachers (now SUNY). She worked with the English departments of the public schools of Detroit and Grosse Pointe, MI.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Concord Community Music School, 23 Wall St., Concord, NH 03301.
