Chris graduated from Pembroke Academy in 1990 after which he began his career as a truck driver. In 1998 he married the love of his life Lisa Holmes.
Chris loved being a truck driver, working for M.S. Carriers, Alliance Imaging where he delivered MRI trailers, and most recently Irving Oil. Chris won many awards of excellence for his continued years of safe, masterful driving. While working as a transport driver at Irving Oil he won 1st place in the Concord Truck Rodeo and competed in the National Truck Driving Championships in Orlando, Fl.
Chris was an avid hunter, gun collector, and ice fisherman and felt at home whenever he was in the woods looking for a scrape, or a spot to put his tree stand. He successfully harvested many trophy bucks including a bull moose, one of his favorite hunting accomplishments.
Chris was a friendly, very hard-working man, and always made sure his family was provided for. He liked to alleviate any serious situation with a joke, and even though he loved to playfully razz any one of his friends or family; he was loved even more for it. Chris could start a conversation with anyone and often did, making many great friendships this way.
Chris’s spirit lives on through his son, Tyler; and his stepchildren, Corey and Lace; father and step-mother, Robert and Kelly Holmes; his mother Darlene Garnett; his 4 brothers, Carl, David, John, and Robbie Holmes; his grandchildren whom he adored - Caleb, Gregory, Teagan, and all of his friends and family that had the pleasure to have such a great man in their lives.
He is preceded in death by his wife Lisa Holmes whom he loved and missed dearly.
Chris is greatly loved and will be incredibly missed.
