CONCORD-Barbara Ann (Evans) Salmon, 69, died on December 12, 2016 at her home in Concord after 6 years of declining health. Her son, David Salmon of Concord; her two daughters, Nicole Salmon of Merrimack and Tracey Ardito of Smithtown, NY; her brother, Charles Evans of Northwood and her sister, Renee Lessard of Pembroke were with her when she passed.
Barbara was predeceased by her husband, David A. Salmon who died August 11, 2010. They were married for 38 years.
She leaves behind 2 grandchildren Dylan M. and Alyssa L. Salmon of Pembroke. She also leaves behind nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Barbara was born on April 11, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY to Charles and Mildred Evans. She graduated from Newfield High in Seldon, NY and then pursued a career in cosmetology.
She moved to NH with her family in 1969 where she met her husband David. They married on March 25, 1972.
She worked as a hair stylist for a few years then accepted a position as a special needs aid in the Pembroke School System. She then went on to work at Blue Cross Blue Shield for many years.
Barbara had a love for horses and also had enjoyed dancing and camping. She had a creative flair for decorating and loved celebrating the holidays with her family.
Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, Aunt and friend. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial mass to celebrate her life will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 21 Centre St. Concord on Thursday Jan. 26, 2017 at
1:30pm.
