She graduated from Manchester Central High School and was employed by the VA Administration in Manchester until her retirement from this first career. Her second career was as a Realtor for the Norwood Realty in the late 1980’s. In 1992 she opened Hearthside Realty with her business partner and friend, Irene Vincent. She lost her beloved husband, Richard Hallett, in 1997 and retired from residential real estate to manage their commercial real estate holdings.
Barbara’s passions included golf, skiing, hiking, tennis and riding motorcycles. She exercised these gifted abilities in many parts of the world to include European adventures with Richard and many friends. She lived in her dream house in Bow and summered on Merrymeeting Lake in New Durham. Hampton Beach was a meeting place for Barbara and her friends.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Joanne M Hebert of Manchester; her niece, Joy Lynn Raskin of Bedford; three sisters-in-law, Judy Raskin, Rose Raskin and Kathy Raskin; her nephew, Michael VanNoordt of Maryland; her loving friends, Carolyn Hartnett and Irene Vincent. She was predeceased by both parents; three brothers, David Raskin, Arthur Raskin and Joel Raskin; her husband, Richard Hallett; and one niece, Simone VanNoordt.
A deep gratitude is extended to the loving caretakers at the Arbors in Bedford and Bayada Hospice out of Concord.
A graveside “goodbye” will be held on Wednesday, May 31st at 11am at Evans Cemetery, White Rock Hill Road, Bow Center.
