She retired from Lazarus after over 20 years. Virginia was a member of St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church in Gahanna. Also a member of the Gahanna Senior Citizens where she enjoyed playing the kazoo in the Kitchen Band. Virginia was an avid square dancer and enjoyed doing crafts, cooking and wintering in Florida. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially game night with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband of 64 ½ years, Robert; brother, Walter Taylor; and sister, Mary Gertrude Ranieri. Virginia will be missed by her loving children, William, Richard (Stacey), James, Rosie (Didier) Plotner; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Betty Jean Rice and Mary Jo Baker; and nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, March 24, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., Worthington (Just south of I-270) and again on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 from 10-11 a.m. at which time a funeral procession will leave for Resurrection Cemetery, 9571 N. High St. Lewis Center, OH for a funeral service in the chapel at 11:30 a.m with Craig Rice, nephew officiating.
