Tyrell Franklin, age 19, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Ohio State University Medical Center. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on January 11, 2005. Tyrell graduated from Westerville South High School, where he participated in tennis and played the violin in the orchestra. He was attending The Ohio State University majoring in business with hopes to become a lawyer. Tyrell enjoyed playing tennis, spending time with his friends, and riding his bicycle. Tyrell was motivated, ambitious, loving, thoughtful, and inspiring. The world will not be the same without him.
Preceded in death by his father, Tyrell Franklin Sr.; grandmother, Rebecca K Roberts; great grandparents, Henry and Donna Roberts. Survived by his sisters, Makayla Roberts (Oscar Morales) and Kaitlyn Franklin; niece, Luna Morales; maternal grandfather, Rick Roberts (Rae Beasley); paternal grandparents, Tyrone and Brenda Franklin; Tami Franklin; great aunt, Debbie Roberts; friends, Regan Bell and Yiwen Wu; along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Tyrell will forever hold a special place in our hearts and will be missed dearly. We will continue to cherish and reminisce on the good times that we shared with him as we grieve his unwanted and unexpected death. May his soul rest in peace.
