There are no services planned for Thomas Marts of Newark. Mr. Marts was born on February 16, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Carl and Martha (Goff) Marts. He died Tuesday August 17, 2010 at Arlington Nursing Care in Newark, Ohio. He was 76.
He is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife Dorothy (Walpole) Marts, nineteen children, nineteen grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. He served his country serving in the US Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. After serving his country, he went on to be a self-employed electrician. There are no local services in Newark. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Florida with military honors. Contributions may be made to a local hospice in memory of Mr. Marts.
