Stopping by to say I love you. You’re on my mind and in my heart. I miss you uncle terry

Terry was my first best friend, my first and best I might add dance partner. He has held my heart for so long. The excitement of finding him after so many long years was the best feeling ever. It was like we were never apart, I'll cherish every memory of him as long as I'm around. Love ya to the moon and never back:blue_heart:

I have the best memories from elementary school with Terry. He was my early grade school love. He was always bringing me gifts to school (Avon, etc.).  It’s hard to believe he’s gone. I had not seen him in many years, but had hoped to get together with him and other friends one day. I will miss him dearly. Prayers for all the family and friends.

Always a gentle and loving spirit, this world needs more like him. I will always miss his quiet strength and understanding ways. He was always there when I needed to talk, never any judgement, just pure love that only childhood friends can have! Terry, I will miss you, so tell my mom and dad hi for me.

I was lucky enough to be one of Terry’s neighbors on Lear. Although I didn’t know him for long, I could tell what a special person he was to many. He spoke fondly of his family in Kentucky and I could tell he really enjoyed life to the fullest. His quick-wit and infectious laugh will be greatly missed. Continuing to think of those closest to him during this difficult time.

OK - as I was looking at another obit who but you Terry Bruce pop up on my phone. I had to laugh and I had to take the opportunity to document how blessed I was to be able to meet you and provide for you a wonderful exit to your life here on earth.  God provided me with the knowledge and expertise of discharging you to an amazing place, Kobacker House, to spend your last seconds sharing with friends and family that I’m sure told you over and over again how much you were loved.  This love will continue on even though you are no longer present on this earth.  Thank you Susan for calling me today with the news of Terry’s passing - even though I probably already knew that....  You were an amazing sister to him and you will be rewarded.  Matt - words can’t express my gratitude for your support and for trusting me when I said - “no trip for you“  you responded with whatever I needed - which meant whatever Terry needed.  Barb - I didn’t get to meet you but you as well helped with clarifying the business side and provided the information I needed at the time.  Thank you for being there for Terry and me. I could not have wrote a better story than the one that God provided for all of us that cared about Terry.  I only knew Terry a short time, since his admission to Select, but he will stay in my memories as a discharge God provided for me to celebrate a wonderful man by providing he and his loved ones their last wishes.  Many blessings to all.  Celebrate Terry!

Even though we only met once, you leave behind quite a legacy.  I do know how much your family, especially my beautiful daughter in law, Taylor Powell, loved and adored you dearly.  Your family and friends will make certain that your memory will live on.  May you rest in peace and watch over our little Eliza Ray!

Terry was always a great friend to me.  His quick wit and sense of humor always made time with him special and rewarding.  Truly a wonderful person pulled from us way to soon.  He'll be sadly missed.

I met you in 1998, and our 22 year adventure began. Pontiac St, Vermont Place, then Dresden St to Lear. 19 years of Flaggots Ohio trips cross country and beyond with more friends than we ever dreamed possible. You accepted me with all of my flaws, knew how to push my buttons and put me in my place when I needed it. You gave me confidence, calmed me, encouraged me and kept me grounded through challenging times. My bestie, NSLP, and truest of bffs. THANK YOU for all of that and more.
On Saturday, May 23, 2020, I got to participate one of the most beautiful experiences I ever imagined. My mother told me "please, do not be afraid to be there with him when he passes"...and she was right. I will be forever grateful that I was there with you over the last 3 days as you transitioned from this life as we know it. I called as many friends of yours as I could think of over the last few days so each could personally tell you that they loved you while sharing great memories of you. your eyes lit up with each phone call (on speaker) and many conversations triggered a slight smile or effort to speak. Those moments were pure magic for everyone involved, and I am blessed to have taken part. I truly believe you waited to see your entire family before leaving us today, and those special friends at the very end all told you that you are loved and it was ok to go home.

i alway looked forward to sharing my thanksgiving with him ! He was a joy and will be missed.. but he's at rest now...
