Susan Rene Guinn, beloved daughter, sister, aunt. cousin, caregiver and friend, was freed from this world on August 31, 2010, just one week short of her 51st birthday. Of the things that can be said of Susie, the first among them is that she intensely loved her parents, Betty and Jefferson, who preceded her in death; her father in the late 80s, her mother, in the late 90s. Next, Suzy Q fiercely loved her friends, and they, her - loving and needing her tough love of them. And, everyone who knew Su-Su also knew she wasn't afraid to work. A safe guess is that she held at least 100 different jobs in her short, rich time here; a measure no doubt of her search for satisfaction in work, love and life. And despite some situations that tried to slow her down, she managed to return to school and find the Lord while simultaneously and ferociously fighting a diagnosis of metastatic lung cancer. Susan was brilliant and beautiful and strong and kind, with a incessant love for conversation and a short fuse for injustice and nonsense. She specifically wanted to insure that her caregivers, talented physicians, nurses and other angels know how much she appreciated their professional efforts and personal compassion. And by her direction, her worldly possessions have been distributed to loved ones and the needy. Her humaness, relentlessness and positivity was an inspiration to all who knew her. She is missed, now and forever. She is survived by her brother, Jeff.
