Shane Kenneth Mehic, 25, of Lancaster, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013 as a result of a car accident. He was born September 4, 1987 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania the son of Mark Smith and Sandra Louise Mehic. Shane was a veteran of the United States Army serving two tours in Iraq. He is survived by his parents; his grandmother, Clara Mehic; brother, Jamie Mehic; sister, Sheena Mehic; aunt and uncle, Linda and Randall Gautreaux; cousin, Nicholas Gautreaux; niece, Cheyenne Mehic; and many other aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard Mehic. Special thanks to his best friend Sam Randazzo and his parents, Sam and Carol and his great aunt, Diana Zuccolotto. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 – 5 PM at the Morgan Funeral Home, 124 Fort Street, Bremen 43107. Funeral services in the funeral home will take place Monday at 10 AM. Interment and military services will follow at 1 PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5600 East Broad St, Columbus. Contributions in Shane’s memory may be made to Morgan Funeral Home.
