Samuel Elwood Robinson

Samuel E. Robinson, age 59, of New Holland, Ohio and a longtime resident of Columbus, died unexpectedly Saturday, February 18, 2023 in Washington Court House, Ohio. He was born June 1, 1963 in Columbus only child of the late Claude Elwood and Gloria Jean (Widner) Robinson. He will be sorely missed and is survived by his son, Andrew Robinson; Andrew’s mother, Melody (Bryan) Calhoun; stepdaughter, Heather Perkins; cousins and their families, Deborah and Dwight Snyder, Joe Hamilton, Gloria Hamilton, Kim (Sue) Hamilton and Barbara (Bo) Keene; uncles, Don (Judy) Robinson and family, Robert and Terry Farmer; lifelong friends, Craig Addy, Wayne (Denise) Boyer and Rob (Kathy) Dearring and many other friends. Besides his parents, Sam was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Misti Hatfield. He was a 1982 graduate of Whitehall-Yearling High School. Sam had a great sense of humor and was a selfless caring individual who would go out of his way to help others. He was an avid fan of NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt and loved rooting for his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes and Dallas Cowboys. Funeral Service will be held 4:00 pm Thursday, February 23, 2023 at SCHOEDINGER EAST, 5360 E. Livingston Avenue, Columbus, OH 43232, where family and friends may call from 3:00 -4:00 pm Thursday.
