Ruth J. Was

Ruth grew up with her husband and love of her life, Joseph Was, Sr. Ruth was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Matthew Church in Gahanna. Ruth loved spending time with her family, visiting parks and celebrating holidays and birthdays. Ruth was “house proud” and liked to keep her home neat and clean. Ruth will be sadly missed by her dear family.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by a brother and 3 sisters. Ruth will be missed by her loving husband of 54 years, Joseph; daughters, Barbara (Kenneth) Kerbyson, and Ann Was; son, Joseph (LauraLynn); grandchildren, Krystle, April, Julia and Ellie.

Family will receive friends Thursday, May 10, 2012 from 4-7 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Matthew the Apostle Church, 807 Havens Corners Rd., Gahanna, Fr. Theodore K. Sill, Celebrant. Interment in Mifflin Twp. Cemetery.
