Ronald Eugene Ziegler

Ron was born on September 30, 1943 in Nelsonville, Ohio. At a young age, he acquired a fascination for the sky and dreamed of being a pilot. Ron attended Athens high school and furthered his education at The Ohio State University and Ohio University where he worked as a flight instructor. After a few years of teaching, Ron decided it was time to take to the skies on a different platform. He began working as a pilot for NetJets in a career spanning about 20 years.

Ron is preceded by his parents, Lois (Fouts) Ziegler and Wellington Ziegler. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; children Todd, Eric, Kim, Noah and Emily Ziegler; and siblings Jerry, Tom and Lynn Ziegler.

Ron married his wife Margaret, on March 3, 1993 and had his son Noah on March 28, 1997. September of 1999, he and Margaret traveled to Vietnam to adopt their second child Emily.

Through the years, Ron enjoyed reading, listening to music and watching his children's extracurricular activities. He had a quick wit, intellectual mind, and a love for the Lord.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday May 1, 2018 from 4-7pm at the Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230; where a Funeral will be held Wednesday May 2, at 11am. David Redding of Central College Presbyterian Church will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ron's life.
