Phyllis H. (Hall) Brehm, age 96, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born July 5, 1922 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Richard and Effie (Newell) Hall and is also preceded in death by her husband, H. L. "Doc" Brehm; brother, Dale Hall; and grandson, Nicholas Parent. Phyllis is survived by her children, Wayne (Anna) Brehm, Janet (David) Parent, Nancy (Bob) Ballenger, and Gary (Jill) Brehm; grandchildren, Eric Brehm, Angie (Carl) Parent-Kiss, Josh (Karla) and Sarah Brehm, Laura and Ryan Ballenger; great-grandchildren, Lauren and Ethan Brehm, Izzy and Logan Parent, Jeremy Parent-Kiss, and Frankie Brehm; sisters-in-law, Wilma Brehm and Hazel Hayes; nieces and nephew. Phyllis was a Charter Member and Past President of the Gahanna Historical Society. She was instrumental in establishing Founder's Corner in Gahanna, moving and restoring the Log Cabin and Clark House, publishing the Gahanna History Book, and organizing the annual Flea Market. Phyllis was a pianist for the Gahanna Community Church and a member of the Caledonia Chapter, O.E.S. She was especially proud to be a lifelong mother and grandmother. Private family services will be held.
