Philip Lynch, age 72, of Columbus, OH passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2011. He was born to the late Henry and Dorothy Lynch on August 3, 1939 in Clarksburg, West Virginia. Philip was a talented, intelligent, loyal and loving man. He was in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a dedicated member of the Glenwood United Methodist Church and a member of The Central Ohio Commodore Users Group. Phil enjoyed computers, cameras, electronics and traveling. He retired from Anheuser Busch as an electrician after many years of service. Phil was a HUGE OSU basketball and football fan. He was preceded in death by his brothers, James and Stephen Lynch; grandson, Matthew Welding. He is survived by his special friend Betsy Valko; former wife, Sandra Lynch; children, Mark (Susan) Lynch parents of Jonathan, Joshua, and Heather; Michael (Susan) Lynch parents of Abigail; Valeri (Jeffrey) Welding parents of Benjamin and Kaylen; Timothy (Virginia) Lynch parents of Jeffrey and Holly. Friends may call 2:00-4:00pm & 6:00-8:00pm on Friday, August 12, 2011 at the SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 West Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43204. Service will be held 10am Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Glenwood United Methodist Church, 2833 Valleyview Dr., Columbus, OH 43204.
