Peggy Sue Miller is a West Virginia gal who was raised in Parkersburg, and later moved to Erie Pennsylvania. She passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at the age of 83. She was born on May 19, 1937 to the late Howard and Helen Fleming Barnes.
She joins her loving husband, Ken, who passed away on November 27, 2018; and their beloved canine companion, Abby.
Peggy was devoted to her family, spending time with her friends, and watching her grandchildren at their sporting events. Her infectious laugh and her love of family will be deeply missed.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her two wonderful sons Todd (Carmen) and Scott; grandchildren Monica, Jacob, Nicole, Jason, Ryan, and Danielle, sister Barbara (Tom) Hersperger; niece and nephew, Suzanne and Brett, along with their families.
She attended, and graduated, from Edinboro State Teachers College where she met the love of her life Ken Miller. Peggy enjoyed her time working for Head Start in many communities; Plattsburgh, New York, Frederick, Maryland and Columbus. Once while living in Plattsburgh, Peggy had to drive all the kids home in a winter storm. She had never driven a bus in her life. While working for Head Start, Ken and Peggy delivered Christmas gifts to the less fortunate Head Start children using their own funds. They just loved Miss Peggy.
