Pasqualina Marietta Casto

Lena "Sam" Casto, age 91, passed away at sunrise on May 10, 2015 with the birds singing and the sun shining on her face. Her daughters, Linda Casto, and Hally Walters, Cols. OH, Cynthia Ruggles, (Tom, Merrillville, IN) and Deanna McQuillan (Larry , Santa Fe, NM) where at her side. She is preceded by her husband Dana A. Casto, USAF Retired, her oldest grandson, Dean McQuillan, formally from Cols, OH., and siblings Mary Lou DeAngel, Veronica Polando, and Philip Adriano of Youngstown, OH. Granddaughters, Dia Gardner/Eric, Holly Kennedy, two grandsons,Tony Ruggles and Dana McQuillan, six great grandchildren. She worked at Doctors West Hospital in the Xray Dept. for over 20 years, was a member of The Eastern Star and volunteered with several charities. As an Air Force spouse she and her family traveled to many parts of the world. Her family would like to thank the nurses and the Staff at Kobacker House for the exceptional and compassionate care she received while in their care. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Kobacker House, 180 East Broad St, First Floor, Suite 31, Columbus, OH 43215. Private services for her family will be held at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad Street.
