Pamela Dennis Besel joined her family, friends, and met her golden retrievers and miscellaneous pets at the rainbow bridge on Sunday, October 20th. While a private woman, Pam lived a full and giving life while dealing with Type 1 diabetes. She started her professional career at The Ohio State University Communications after serving as a Lantern editor in her undergraduate days. Pam enjoyed avid and active tennis at the Olympic Racquet Club and Northam Park, typically captaining and organizing matches, ultimately interrupted by vision problems attributed to her diabetes. Pam advanced her professional life by moving to Ohio Wesleyan University, serving four Presidents in over 30 years. She was responsible for the award winning Alumni Magazine, annual Mother’s Day commencements and related publications and PR duties. Pam is the daughter of Nate and Evelyn Dennis of Cincinnati, predeceased, as well as older brother Joseph. She is survived by her husband Mark (recently celebrated their 50th anniversary!), daughter Megan Adair, son in law Mike Adair, grandsons Nate and Ben Adair, and numerous brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews plus Sophie her Golden and little Lexie, a Westie. Funeral service will be held at 1 P.M. Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Rd. Interment Oak Grove Cemetery, Delaware.
