Nichol Schulte-Hordelhoff

Nichole was born February 3, 1974 at the Colorado Air Force Acadamy where her father was stationed. Her father and step-mother Eric and Sandy Miller and mother and step-father Carol and Brent Hall survive her. She was a 1992 graduate of Gahanna Lincoln High School and went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree from Ohio Dominican and a Master’s Degree in Education from Dayton University. She was a Columbus Public Schools Educator for 18 years. Her love for children was evident in the passion she showed as a teacher. She had a calming voice, presence and embrace. She loved the beach, jogging and shopping. Her belief in the Lord was strong, her faith beautiful and her family and friends felt the love she had for them in all things she did.

In addition to her parents, Nichole is survived by her soul mate and husband of 18 years, Steven Schulte-Hordelhoff and their three children Mackenzie, Anneliese and Garin; maternal grandparents Norine Muffoletto and Herbert Miller; siblings Rebecca (Timothy) Smith and Travis Hall; step-sisters Caryn Caltrider and Christine Fultz; mother-in-law Ursula Schulte-Hordelhoff as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Ellen and Fred Bailey and father-in-law Frank Schulte-Hordelhoff.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 9, 2015 from 4-7PM at New Life Church, 3690 North Stygler, Gahanna where a celebration of life will be held at 7PM with Dr. Gary Exman and Pastors Collin and Debbie Staples officiating.
