Neal Page Lee

Neal Page Lee, age 79 of Upper Arlington, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013. Neal was born and reared in Michigan City, Indiana, son of the late Robert Raymond and Jessie Oressa Lee. Also preceded in death by his twin sister, Nancy Bracken and brother, Robert Lee. Neal graduated from Indiana University where he studied music and sang tenor. His passion for the shoe business began at age 18 in New York City. He moved his family to Columbus in 1959 where he thrived at Lazarus for 17 years. He then dedicated 30+ years of his career to Nina Footwear. Neal was a consumate gentleman who was kind and generous and had a personality and laugh that was bigger than life. Neal was a lifelong member of the Two Ten Footwear Foundation and enjoyed singing opera, but most of all, Neal loved nothing more than surrounding himself with his loving family and friends. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 54 years, Harriet Lee; children, Kathryn Lee, Jennifer Jacobs, Elizabeth Lee (Rev. Edward) Bird IV, and Michael Lee; grandchildren, Zachary (Sara), Jessica, Christopher, Daniel and Gabriella; great grandchildren, Harley and Nicholas; brother, Lyle (Judy) Lee; and many nephews, nieces and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, April 8, 2013 at St. James Episcopal Church, 3400 Calumet St. Family will receive friends from 2-5 P.M.
