Michael Lee Sherman, Sr., age 73, of Howard, Ohio and formerly of Reynoldsburg, died Saturday, September 3, 2022 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 1, 1949 in Columbus, Ohio, the son of the late Lee and Delores (Garvin) Sherman. Michael was the Director of Engineering for the Athletic Club of Columbus for over 35 years. A devoted husband, father, grandfather
and great-grandfather, he will be sorely missed by his wife of 38 years, Brenda (west) Sherman; daughters, Nicole Sherman and Jennifer (Dan) Flaus; grandchildren, Danielle, Ryan, Greg, Sean, Anthony and Jasmine; great-grandchildren, Cayson, Gabriel and Finn. Also survived by a brother Marion Sherman and sisters Kathie Stack and Carolyn Grell; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. Besides his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his son, Michael Lee Sherman Jr; daughter, Tina Marie; brothers, Melvin, Marty and Marvin Sherman. Veteran U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War. Mike loved the outdoors, where you would find him wearing one of his flannel shirts as he was fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed a good western movie or Gunsmoke reruns and the last couple years would watch some of the old war movies. He was the type of person that would do anything for anybody.
