I wrote part of this and someone changed most. My wife Cheryl, went all the extra to make sure Mark enjoyed life, which included the beautiful room she did for him! She let nothing stop her! She was Mark's angel along with mine! Mark, I miss you so much.  We enjoyed doing for you.  So proud of you son! And even more so when you looked out for your step-mom, Cheryl.  To call her and say you were sorry about several and how much she meant to you! I was always a proud father, but, even sick you were so mature and caring.  Nothing we wouldn't it didn't do for you out of love. You always looked forward to Cheryl filling the OSU bucket with chocolates. I wish we could see you again, even if for a moment, but, know we both will one day. So many great memories! You here with us, me napping and you and Cheryl talking about everything. Yes, the three of us were family and that will never change.  We were just talking about the letter she sent to the Pope and how excited when you got a letter back with a blessed Rosary.  So many good and loving memories with you.  Hopefully, this won't be changed, but, if so, dosesn't change the live we both have for you or the love you had for both of us! It was always so sweet how thrilled you were with all Cheryl and I did and we just loved doing for you! Cheryl was just talking of a cherished memory, rather several, one where you were getting a mold for dentures, you were so sick and she said squeeze her hand hard, you later called her and told her how much you loved her for doing.  The time you went in to a floral shop and she arranged roses and paid for them to give your wife then, so many memories, a life ago!! We love you son, so very missed!

Should the need arise (as it doesn't change the love/facts we have shown my son or what he showed the two of us) don't change, just delete what you changed 4 years ago, as I didn't write, what I did write was changed to what was posted, just delete everything!!!! Doesn't say much to character as for doing! Our life goes on "together", but, sadly, without my son.

I remember last fathers day me and my brother gave our dad a card and it sang we will rock you. And it said #1 Dad, he loved that card so much he would show it too everybody and say i love this card. Happy fathers day, Daddy i miss you soo much. I love you with all my heart

I'll nevery forget your "first Easter baskets and your first Christmas Stockings" it was just so adorable with your great father, and then to take you to the fire stations and let you both get up in the trucks and you acted like little firefighters" so very adorable and you were so very happy, happy times with your daddy and several of his closest friends, you were so loved and adored by him and "all" his friends, he never let anything come between you and him, forever in our hearts, thoughts and prayers - my what a celebration you are having with "our Lord", love always, Sue Jewell

I taught him well, with the love and embracing all, i made his room an wonderland of eveything Ohio State, I think i bought everything, he would walk in and was in awe of all the bright beautifcul colors, it picked him up when he needed to be picked up, he would mentioned to everyone, it was another world, one of cheer, such brightness and "his team", he loved so much, he was quick to ask anyone entering his apt. to please come in and see his beautiful "happy room", a large osu bucket that was bought my me, always had to be filled with all things chocolate, no nuts, but, he would go to sleep and with all the electric blankets, sometimes chocoate was all over his mouth (too cute) and he would be holding chocoate in his hands which had melted due to the heat. Just so adorable, I was blessed to buy him new clothers (OSU and his beloved Bengals, an a particular pair of shoes he had his eyes on, but, didn't want to mention, but, I bought for him, just loved it all, Mark was so meticulous with his beautiful  looks and wanted his things to be hung just right in the closet, just as he did as a teenager, not only a man's man, but a "righteous human being", we can all aspire to do what's right, so the day comes God wiling we can join him in the happy, painfree Kingdom of our Lord. I love you Mark always, never forgotten and I feel your presence every second letting me know "it is alright" and I will see you again. Where do I begin with all the memories we have shared from my wedding day to our soap opera days:) Ping pong in the basement on Salisbury was the best...I could go on and on and then at the same time am speechless. I know you are at peace and in a wonderful place you will be missed dearly! 

I do have to thank you for bringing one of the strongest women into my life and that being Tracy. The memories we have shared are priceless and I give you my word Tracy and I will continue to carry on those memories and continue to make new ones with the children!!

Mark, it seems like a life time ago since I first met you, but now that you have moved on, that life time only seemed to last as long as one of your patented winks. I meant every word I said to you the last time you and I spoke. You are loved and you are and will be missed...always my friend.

Like all of your family and friends, I have too many memories of you to write about.  I guess the one that I hold close to my heart, is our apartment.  The flowers you grew on our patio put anything Martha Stewart can grow to shame.  Your perfect vacuum cleaner lines.  Your color-coordinated closet.  Chris's unbelievably delicious lasagna and of course the infamous New Years eve party. 

Even with the electric baseboard heat turned up to the max, thick plastic on all of the windows, we all had our winter coats, gloves and hats on, it was still freezing in that apartment.  Nevertheless, we had all of our closest friends there, played football in the snow, went sledding, bumper sliding, of course the video camera was going ( I will find that video one day ), Aaron hiding behind our plant, Chas sleeping under the table, maybe even a practice kiss between some old classmates for the new year arrival,  JELL-O shots galore, snake bites.  WOW, I don't know that I can think of a better New Years eve memory.

To be able to say, I shared that and sooo many other heart-warming memories with you, makes me miss you more than I already do.

Mark was an absolute Perfect man. A perfect father, perfect son, perfect nephew, perfect friend, a perfect cousin. I always looked forward to our family visits to Ohio and enjoying his company and the family. No matter what the situation, we always had a great time doing whatever whenever. Whether it was us having family dinners, playing cards, or just talking at the dining room table. I don't know many who has shown strength as much as Mark has shown. I witness this great man still put a smile on his face, no matter the difficulties life threw at him. I always respected and looked up to him wishing I could just have a pinch of the strength and giving personality he shown me. We miss you Mark! With Love Always & Forever....

Growing up in the family with Mark as my cousin, he always called me "brother" and we hugged , no matter what, he always said that even until recently when I saw him last. Mark had a love for people and heart that was genuine from the time we were children through adulthood, I know beyond a doubt Mark is in heaven with our family and that we will see him again. I am glad that I had the privilege be  Mark's cousin.

To the Wolford Family:  I send my deepest sympathy to all of you.  I cannot imagine what you are going through nor could I ever have the right words to take the pain away.  I grew up just a few doors up from Mark on Burgess Ave and went to West with him.  Although I was not very close to him, I do remember him being a great person.  I wish that I were able to share more memories of Mark but I have lost a lot of my memory.  I also wish I could be there to pay my respects but I will be there is spirit.  I am glad he is no longer in pain or struggling.  May God hold all of you in the palm of HIs hands during this difficult time and give you all the comfort you need.  God Bless all of you.

I met my friend when I was 5 years old. His grandmother and her family lived next door to my grandmother and my family.  Our family is bonded by generations.  We grew up together and went through many trials and tribulations together.   We have so many memories on Burgess Avenue there are too many to tell.  Made my summer and winter years very special.  I was the kid that always ran in the "hot box" between he and his brother Keith.  Me and Mark were always on teams when playing hide n seek.  When he learned to drive, I was the "only" one allowed in the car with him. (We broke that rule a few times)  We took many walks to Lawsons together.  He took me to school when he could get the car!  We shared music, hairspray and on occasion a cardigan sweater, because he owned lots of sweaters!  He loved music, his freinds and family to the fullest capacity. I have never heard him speak an ill word about anyone, ever! He is kind, caring and gentle!  He will forever have a place in my heart and he has touched so many the same way!  You will be missed my friend and I love you very much! xoxo  See you on the other side!
