Lynnette Swanson

Lynnette Swanson, age 70, of Columbus, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2023 unexpectedly at her home. She was born February 19, 1953 in Bluefield, West Virginia. She retired as a lab technician with Doctors Hospitals after over 40 years. She currently worked at Wyandotte Gym for the last several years. Lynnette will be sorely missed by her daughter, Tamu Swanson; her son, Rahman Williams; her granddaughter, Mariah Kimbler; her great grandchildren, Zaraya Stephens and Zavier Jarman. Also survived by brothers and sisters, Eric Swanson (Marie), Donald Swanson, Mavis Berry (James), Shirley King (Marvin), Alfred Brown Jr. and Kenny Brown; several nieces, nephews; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gloria Swanson Wooden, and two brothers, Thomas Swanson and Nicholas Brown. Lynnette was a graduate of East High School and received an Associate degree from CTI. She put her family first above everything and was most proud of her children, granddaughter and great-grandchildren. She was a diehard TREKKIE, a great seamstress and loved to travel and swim. She was always looking to expand her mind by reading and most recently taking Spanish lessons. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 6:30 pm Friday, September 29, 2023 at SCHOEDINGER EAST, 5360 E. Livingston Avenue, Columbus, OH 43232.
