Lowell Leslie Darling

Lowell Leslie Darling passed away on March 28, 2023 in Silver Spring, Maryland at age 81. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Stephanie Darling. He is survived by his two children, Jacob (Becky) Darling, of Charlotte, NC, and their children Cate, Drew, Jane Ramsey, and Gabe; and Faith (Sasha Lourie) Darling, of Silver Spring, MD, and their children Lucy, Ingrid, and Ellie Lourie.

Lowell was born in Carmichaels, PA on February 4, 1942, and was the only child of Minnie “Pat” Darling and adoptive father, Norman L. Darling. He was raised in Brockton, MA, and joined the Air Force out of high school. After serving for three years as an airplane technician in Thule, Greenland, he returned to MA and earned a degree in mechanical engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology. He enjoyed a long career as an engineer at The Gillette Company. Lowell was an avid tinkerer and tackled many home projects in the 18th-century home where he and Stephanie raised their family. He was a Master Mason and member of the Wampatuck Masonic Lodge for over 45 years. In retirement, he enjoyed photographing the many driving adventures he took with Stephanie through New England and Maryland and spending time with his seven grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be held at 12:00pm on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 in the South Chapel at Resurrection Cemetery, 9571 High Street, Lewis Center, Ohio 43035
