Linda Ann Bennett

Dr. Linda Ann (Ward) Bennett, age 57, of Upper Arlington, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 1, 2011. Linda was preceded in death by her son, Benjamin; parents, Charles and Pauline (Harnetty) Ward; sister, Rosemary; and brother, Bill Ward. She is survived by her husband of 10 years, Mark Bennett; siblings, Charles F. (Kim) Ward, Michael Ward, Susan Hout, and Thomas Ward; nieces and nephews, Chris, Charley, Quintin, Olivia, Spencer, Kati, Ian, Alex, and Abby; and many other relatives. Linda graduated from Upper Arlington High School in 1972, received a BS at Michigan State University, a MS at The Ohio State University, and a PhD at the Medical College of Ohio. Linda retired from the Veteran Affairs where she worked in Internal Medicine. Linda, who wanted most to help others, was a kind and loving person. She loved her dogs, Nicki and Randy, and her cats, Peaches and Miranda. Linda enjoyed photography, tennis, golf, gardening, and snow skiing. She will be missed by many. Friends may call on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 from 2:00PM-4:00PM and 6:00PM-8:00PM with prayer service at 7:30PM at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 10:00AM at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1899 McCoy Road at Reed Road, Columbus, Ohio. Fr. Tyron Tomson, celebrant.
