Kerri Sue Colgan

Kerri “Sue” Colgan, age 63, died peacefully at home with her family at her bedside, Monday, October 2, 2023. She fought a long battle with lung disease and is now resting peacefully in the hands of our Lord. She is now reunited back with her husband, John, where they were married for 34 years, until his passing on Nov. 1, 2017. Sue grew up in Gahanna, Ohio and had a passion for horses. She was in 4-H for many years, graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High and married John and eventually had 2 beautiful daughters, who she loved dearly. She loved her family and was passionate about her girls and always tried to provide the best life for them. She was always involved in all their activities, especially with their music & theatre. She had 3 Grand babies, Madelyn & Charlotte (Natalie) and Grayson (Mackenzie) who she loved deeply. She eventually received her teaching degree and was a Special Ed Teacher. She absolutely loved teaching and deeply cared for her students. She was always passionate about her fur babies. She leaves behind her 2 doggies, Maddy and Charly, who were at her side till her passing. They brought her so much happiness and love over the last several years, while she was battling her disease. Her memory will live on through her family and friends. Survived by 2 daughters, Natalie (Michael) & Mackenzie (Hanna), 2 granddaughters, Madelyn & Charlotte, 1 grandson, Grayson, born after her passing. Sisters, Tanya (Scott) & Gina (JT), brother, Rick (Mindy). Many nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Tina and brother, Rocky. A private burial will be held for family & friends at a later date at Holy Cross Cemetery.
