Karen W. Gardner

A graduate of The Ohio State University, Karen remained a loyal Buckeye as a member of the President’s Club. She spent the largest part of her career working as a dietician in school foods for the State of Ohio.

Karen was an active member of Indianola/Summit United Methodist Church and was a volunteer with Riverside Guild.

In addition to reading and cross-stitching, Karen loved to garden and to bake, and was happy to share the results of both efforts – much to the delight of her family and neighbors.

Karen will be greatly missed by her brother Kent (Debbie) Walters; nephew Andrew Frost; nieces Gail Venrick, Amanda Hamilton, Lisa (Cory) Beaver and Jennifer (Joe Gabriel) Walters; great-niece Jayda

Hamilton; great-nephew Adam Venrick; and a great great niece and nephew.

In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her husband Douglas Gardner, her sister Kristine Frost, and her brother-in-law Sherman Frost.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:00-3:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221.
