Joyce was born in Columbus, Ohio on August 18, 1945, to the late Benjamin and Lucille (Howard) Weisberg. She spent her childhood years in Upper Arlington and graduated from Upper Arlington High School, attended Ohio University, and was the president of the Worthingview Civic Association, in Worthington, Ohio where she lived.
She was a lifelong animal lover, worked at Swenson Veterinary Hospital for 20 years and spent her work and spare time helping animals find loving homes, and ensuring that all pets that crossed her path were treated with care and respect. She was involved in the establishment of the Alum Creek Dog Park, and was an enthusiastic supporter of Hand-Me-Down Dobes.
To say Joyce was a Barry Manilow fan is an understatement. One of her greatest joys was attending Barry Manilow concerts with her friends, and she was an active contributor to the Barry Manilow Fan Club.
Joyce will be greatly missed by her husband Lynn, son Andy, daughter-in-law Lisa, grandson Jack and dog Kasey. Her family is profoundly grateful for the love, support and generosity that family, friends and neighbors have shown during this difficult time.
Family and Friends will be invited to a celebration of life that is being planned for the summer of 2023.
Memorial contributions may be made to Joyce’s favorite charity, Hand-Me-Down Dobes WWW.HMDD.ORG or HMDD PO Box 12325 Columbus, OH 43212.
Arrangements entrusted to SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST.
