Joseph Lee Brumfield, 65, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022. He was born in 1957. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ezra Sr and Mary (Bray) Brumfield, brothers Ezra "Bill" Brumfield, John Brumfield, Charles Brumfield and daughter, Lisa Brumfield. Survivors include his loving wife of 26 years Brenda Brumfield; daughters Jennifer (Nick) Spicer and Traci (Henry) Scott, and five grandchildren: Eric, Ashley, Kaylie, Collin and Raeden; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. He attended Marion Franklin High School in Columbus, Ohio from 1971 to 1974. During high school he worked at USA Skating Rink as a floor guard. After High School and during his career, he worked many different places including Western Pancake House, McDonnell Douglas building B-10 Bombers, Wasserstrom, Hanover Signs, and served as a carpenter in the Carpenters Local Union No. 200 and welder for years. One of Joe's greatest passions was being a Brother in the Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio for over 37 years. He was a member of Linden Lodge #637. Joe had a deep love of his family, faith, and his freedom. He was very fond of hunting, fishing, his beloved IROC-Z Camaro, working on vehicles, playing cards, horseshoes, bowling, hiking, gardening, NASCAR, watching wrestling, and the Michigan Wolverines. Friends and Family may call on Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM until time of Masonic Funeral Service at 1:00 PM at the Schoedinger Funeral Home East. Internment at the chapel at Forest Lawn Cemetery located at 5600 E. Broad St., Columbus, Ohio 43213. Following the burial, friends and family are invited to gather at the Reynoldsburg Masonic Lodge located at 7350 Broadwyn Dr., Reynoldsburg, OH 43068 to celebrate the life of Joe. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriner's Hospital 3229 Burnet Ave. Cincinnati, Ohio 45229-3095 in his memory.
