Joanne Ottum

Joanne Ottum, aged 58, passed away Thursday, December 22, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, surrounded by her family. She will be dearly missed by her husband, Rich Ottum, 59, her children, Lisa Ottum, 31, and David Ottum, 27, and her mother, Ann Hulick, 89. She was preceded in death by her father, John Hulick. Throughout her short life Joanne was the heart of her home; her love gave strength to her family and she always put others first, even during her long illness. She found joy in raising Lisa and David, and in keeping her home and garden the center of family activity and comfort. Joanne was a member of PEO, Chapter BX. She was torn from us far too soon, but we will always cherish her love, her smile, and her wisdom as a daughter, mother, and wife. An informal and joyous celebration of Joanne’s life will be held at the family home on Wednesday, January 4th, from 4-7 pm. Please call 457-6834 for directions if necessary. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Citizens for Humane Action, 3765 Corporate Dr., Columbus, OH 43231 to honor Joanne’s devotion to animal rescue.
