Janine "Jenny" Arrigo, age 57, passed away unexpectedly into the hands of the Lord on July 14, 2021, in Columbus, Ohio. She was born in Columbus on August 27, 1963, to John "Tom" Arrigo (deceased) and Mary "Annie" McClenathan (Heiser). Also surviving her are daughters Amanda Marks and Heather Marks, grandson Alexander "AJ" Adams, brothers Mike, Jim, and Tony, sister Shari, multiple aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and longtime loving companion and devoted caregiver Jim Brudny of Johnstown.
Jenny attended Franklin University and graduated from Capital University Law School. She went on to have a successful career as a corporate attorney until 2013 when she was forced to retire from BroadStreet Capital Partners after being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
Never one to complain, Jenny immersed herself in the numerous programs available in central Ohio for Parkinson's patients, including the "Delay the Disease" exercise classes and the "Tremble Clefs" singing classes. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to David Zid, Pam Richardson and the many others who were part of these programs.
Jenny enjoyed watching OSU, Notre Dame and Browns football, and going to Columbus Blue Jackets hockey games. She was an avid reader and faithful listener to NPR, but the two things she loved the most were her ice coffee and spending time at the New Jersey Shore, which was her "happy place."
Jenny and her radiant smile will be dearly missed.
Family will welcome friends from 3-5:30pm Saturday, July 24th at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna.
In lieu of flowers the family would request donations to the National Parkinson Foundation Ohio. https://www.parkinson.org/GreatLakes.
