Irene E. Hendricks, born May 26, 1927 in Grayson, KY, died Friday, July 23, 2010. Irene is a member of Little Angel Old Regular Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Howard Hendricks; parents, Joel and Ella (Adkins) Colegrove; sisters, Lenita Blevins and Ruth Redmon; brother, Paul Colegrove; daughter-in-law, Diana Hendricks; and son-in-law, Gareld Arnett. Irene is survived by her daughters, Shirley Arnett and Sharon (Roger) Lavey; sons, Howard and Larry (Polly) Hendricks; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sisters-in-law, Virgie Colegrove and Janell Hendricks; several nieces and nephews. Irene will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, and a wonderful cook. A celebration of her life will be held with a visitation 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 29 and a funeral service 1 p.m. Friday, July 30 at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL 3030 W. Broad St. Elder Buddy Carty and Elder Bill Smith officiating. Interment Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
