Ida Miller, age 91 of Columbus, peacefully passed away on June 22, 2023. She was born January 30, 1932 in Belfry, Kentucky. A daughter to the late Bud and Wilda Muncy. In addition to her parents, Ida is preceded in passing by husband Lindsey Miller, 5 brothers, 5 sisters, granddaughter Kimberly Cupp, and daughter-in-law Deborah Miller.
Born a coal miner’s daughter, Ida shared a full and happy childhood with her 10 siblings, all of whom have preceded her in death. Ida, always family-oriented, went on to have 2 sons, 4 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren, all whom will remember her as an independent, loving woman whose life was filled with many hobbies.
Ida enjoyed trying her luck at bingo, her rose garden, which she grew with love and adoration just like she had her family, and Christ. Her church being her home away from home when not in her rose garden. Ida loved to travel, spend time with those in her senior group, and could often be found at the bowling alley, trying her luck at getting a strike.
Ida is survived by son Jay Cupp, son Carl Miller (Louise), grandson Ronnie Cupp, granddaughters Kelly Dewey (Thomas), and Michelle Brunner (Donald).
Friends may gather at Schoedinger East, on Monday, June 26, 2023 from 4 to 7pm. Funeral service to take place Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 10am. Memorial contributions may be in Ida’s honor to Reynoldsburg, Freewill Baptist Church.
