Harry G. Leonard, age 91, passed away on Saturday morning, December 7, 2024, as he went peacefully to be with the Lord. He was born to the late Elwood E. and Christina E. Leonard in Taunton, Massachusetts on August 6, 1933. After graduating high school Harry proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He retired from Battelle Memorial a research institute as a Chemical-Electrical Engineer. Harry was an avid athlete and loved sports which included basketball, softball, golf and bowling. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Barbara B. Leonard; son, Douglas Leonard and 6 siblings. Survived by his daughter, Tracy Leonard; son, David (Deanna) Leonard; grandchildren, Britan Tolliver, Bryant (Bettina) Tolliver, Zachary (Yanceke) Leonard, Matthew Leonard and Nick; great-grandchildren, Ridge, Victoria, Kalvin, Emmitt, Amberlee, Mason and Kia; sister, Nancy Mason; brother, David Leonard; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. We will receive family and friends from 12-1:00 pm on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Service by Schoedinger North, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus, Ohio 43229, where a memorial service will immediately follow at 1:00 pm with Chaplain Marty Troyer officiating.
