Eileen Louise Zell, age 95, of N. Palm Beach, FL and Columbus, OH, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2024 after a long illness. She was born June 22, 1929 in Cleveland, OH to the late Harry and Natalie Katz. In addition to her parents, Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, Barney Zell; her younger son, Bradley Zell; and her sister, Faye Mindlin. She is survived by her older son, Jonathan Zell (Ping Wu);
her grandson, Zachary Zell; her cousin, Edie Passov; her friends Christiane Edmondson and Maria Lamar; along with other dear family and friends. In her spare time, Eileen was a local doubles tennis champion and an avid club bridge player. She was a bright presence in people’s lives and will be deeply missed. The family wishes to thank the hospice staff at Ohio Living, who provided excellent care to her. At Eileen's request, there will be no formal services.
