Donald Eugene Conrad

Donald Eugene Conrad, 61, of East Palatka, Florida passed away May 2, 2018 after battling brain cancer. Don was born June 25, 1956 in Columbus, Ohio and was a U.S. Marine Veteran. He graduated from Gahanna-Lincoln High School, class of '75 and was a former mechanic at The Golf Club on Kitzmiller Rd. as well as The Medallion Club in Westerville. Don was a workaholic; truly passionate about, and talented at, restoring old tractors and building hot rods. His work was featured in Hot Rod Magazine which brought him national recognition. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bridget. Don leaves behind his parents, Richard and Eleanor Conrad; his wife Lucy; daughters, Michelle and Angie; 3 grandchildren; siblings, Mike, Bernie, Kathy and Ann; extended family and friends. He was liked by everybody! Family will welcome friends Sunday May 20, 2018 at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230; Visitation 1pm-2pm with service beginning at 2pm; Pastor Durbin "Butch" Conrad and the Patriot Guard will be participating in Don's service.
