Cheryl Louise Dingess

Cheryl L. Dingess, age 56, of Ostrander, Ohio, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on October 9, 2019. She was born on December 16, 1962 in Columbus, to the late James and Barbara Crooks.

Cheryl had many interests which included: gardening, construction work, listening to Hard Rock music, watching live TV shows, spending time with her family, friends, and her devoted cat, Skink. She spent a lot of her time and energy being a supportive mother, sister, and friend to many. Cheryl was a guardian to her mentally ill sister, and caregiver to her parents when they fell ill.

Cheryl made an impression on so many, her light and energy will be missed. The lives left behind will forever grieve her passing.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Cindy Crooks; niece, Amber Crooks; and best friend, Diana Flagg.

Cheryl will be truly missed by her children, Michael (Ashley) Dingess, Danielle (Jose' Sosa) Wanger; granddaughter, Aubrey Dingess; sisters, Carrie (David) Spring, and Christy Keynes; niece, Kirsten Keynes; her ex-husband and friend Jack Wenger; and a host of loving friends.

Family will receive friends from 4-7pm on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at the Heart and Hope by Schoedinger Funeral Home, 3030 W. Broad St Columbus Ohio 43204; where a service will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 10am.
