Brent A. Case

Brent Allen Case August 17, 1978 - June 2, 2023. Brent, was a 1996 graduate of Watkins Memorial High School. Growing up, he was an avid soccer player (indoor & outdoor) which started at age 6 & continued through his senior year in HS. He played on school leagues, community, & select travel teams.

He ventured into painting soon after high school, creating his own residential painting business. Brent had a very successful career as a talented residential painter, servicing the Columbus & surrounding areas for nearly 20 years. A career change resulted in his recent employment with Fed Ex Warehouse.

Brent is the father of 4 beautiful children that he loved dearly. He enjoyed spending time with his children, skipping rocks through the water with the kids, fishing, watching sports (especially football, basketball, & soccer), NASA shuttle launches & similar programs.

Brent is survived by his children: Allen, Colton, Kayla, & Camden; mother & step-father: Ellen VanDyne (Case) & James (Jason) VanDyne, brother: Roy Case (Holly), uncle: Eric Pohlschneider (Mary Kay), Aunt: Becky Poling (Rob), as well as numerous cousins.

He is preceded in death by grandparents: Jack & Marian Furniss of Columbus, & Hobert (Hobie) & Jane Hill of Hillsboro; uncle & aunt: Ed & Susan Jess of Piqua.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM Friday, June 23, 2023, Schoedinger East Funeral Home, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. where family will receive friends from 11 AM-1 PM. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
