After High School, Beverly attended Kilgore Junior College where she was a member of the famous Kilgore Rangerettes. Beverly then attended the University of Texas in Austin where she was a member of the Alpha Phi sorority and met her husband, Charlie. She earned a Bachelors of Education in 1957 and married in December. For the next 25 years, they lived on military posts in Germany, South Korea as well as numerous places in the United States. Subsequently, Beverly was on the faculty of the University of Georgia Medical School, a professor of Education at the Northern Virginia Community College, taught High School in South Korea and, while Charlie was in Vietnam, she taught Elementary school in Dallas, Texas.
Beverly was a consummate military wife who was an invaluable asset to the success of her husband’s career. When Charlie retired from the military in 1982, they moved to Kansas City. In 1987, they moved to Upper Arlington, Ohio where she was very active with the political activities in the community.
