Betty was known for her infectious smile, quick wit, kind soul, but most of all for her love of family. She is survived by her loving children, Frank Rau, Nancy Denton, Robin (Stephen) Zeid, David Rau, Tom (Sarah) Rau, Kathy (Aaron) White; 10 Grandchildren; and 6 Great-grandchildren. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Mickey and Jean, first husband Frank Rau, and second husband Dave Rau.
The family would like to express our sincere gratitude to the staff and caregivers at Danbury Senior Living for making her final years so much fun, as well as Capital City Hospice for their unbelievable care that she received, not only in the last four years, but also in her final days. You will all be forever in our hearts.
The family will be having a private Mass and burial for Betty. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Capital City Hospice in Betty’s memory.
