Betsy K. Bland

Betsy K. ’Shook’ Bland, 66, of Upper Arlington, passed away on December 3, 2022. She was born on February 19, 1956 in Columbus, Ohio to Edwin and Elizabeth ‘Liz’ Shook. She was preceded in death by her mother and father and two sisters, Margaret ‘Margie’ Rapp and Marie Oak. Betsy is survived by her son, Brendon and his wife Taylor as well as her partner, Frank Young. Betsy grew up in Upper Arlington, Ohio and graduated in 1973. She graduated from The Ohio State University in 1977. Betsy loved her family and friends. She enjoyed putting a smile on your face and making you laugh. She had a deep faith, enjoyed collecting crystals and loved giving reflexology whenever the opportunity presented itself.

A service of memory will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 9, 2022 at Heart and Hope by Schoedinger Funeral Home (Hilltop), 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43204 where family will receive friends from 1-2:00 pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers please consider a contribution to “The Stone Soup Project” by The Reki Center for Healing Arts.
