Barbara J. Ysseldyke, age 88, passed away at home on Tuesday, December 10, 2024. Barbara was born on December 18, 1935 in Columbus, Ohio to Albert E. and Ida M. Stump. She worked for Joann Fabrics for 30 years. Barbara was an amazing seamstress and cake decorator. She was a semi-pro bowler. Traveling throughout the country to bowl. She also taught bowling at the high schools. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cornelius “Bud” Ysseldyke on November 18, 2024; and son, Fred A. Ysseldyke in 2023. Survived by her siblings, Butch (Kathy) Vawter, Jim (Arlene) Vawter and Debbie (Rick) Slone; nephews, Robert (Penny) Shipe and Rush “Rusty” (Christie) Shipe; niece, Trudy Shipe; many great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 4-5:30 pm on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services by Schoedinger Hilltop, 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43204 where funeral service will follow at 5:30 pm. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Alzheimer’s Association in her memory.
