Barbara L. Deegan

Barbara L. “Bunny” Deegan passed away peacefully Saturday, September 24, 2011. Bunny is survived by her children, Beth (Marvin) Lightner, Amy Roslovic and George (Jennifer) Deegan; and her grandchildren, Kyle, Emily, Nicky, Joey, Andrew, Anne, Brant and Jayden. She is also survived by her sisters, Jeanne (Jim) Sauer, Mary Druhan and Patricia Egger; her brother, Michael (Patricia) Egger; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Theresa Egger.

Bunny was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her greatest joy was providing her children and grandchildren with unconditional love. She was a wonderful, caring person and will be dearly missed and always remembered in our hearts.

Bunny was a member of St. Agatha Church, a former employee of Robert C. Rau M.D. and a member of Twig 102 and Pleasure Guild of Children’s Hospital. She was also a member of Board VII of Childhood League and volunteered at Riverside Hospital. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude for the compassionate care provided to Bunny by the staff at Friendship Village and Sangai Kenneth and Maxine Owusu of Griswold Special Care.

Friends are invited to be with the family Friday, September 30, 2011 from 5 to 7 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at St. Agatha Catholic Church, 1860 Northam Road, with Fr. Daniel Ochs, Celebrant. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 South High Street.
