Audrey grew up in the Mudsock area and attended Central High School. She worked for Atlas Silco and after leaving there she began working for General Motors. When the General Motors plant shut down in Columbus, Ohio, she temporarily relocated to Syracuse, NY, until she retired after 25-plus years of service. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, going to casinos, and playing softball with the Columbus Roadrunners, but her greatest pastime was being with her motorcycle family. Until the time of her death, Audrey had been a member of The Columbus Flames Motorcycle Club for over 56 years. She was an original member who was affectionately known as “Lil Audrey”. She was a member of New Haven Church under the leadership of Pastor Gaius Griffea. Throughout the years, she also attended Higher Ground Always Abounding Assemblies and Calvary Tremont Baptist Church. Audrey is preceded in death by parents, Fred and Audrey (White) Durr; son, Raymond Durr; siblings, Marvynne Durr, Marlynne Blakey, and Susan Durr; sister-in-laws, Janice Durr and Elizabeth “Libby” Bertha; special friend Mary Warfield and Donald “Hobo” Arnold. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, James (Stephanie) Cook, Theodore Cook, Joseph (Stacey) Cook, and Mondell Cook; grandchildren, Jessica Moore, Isaiah Cook, James Cook, II, Jalil Cook, Charles Morgan, and Brittney (Brandon) Nowlin; siblings, Sylvia Gentle, Joyce Durr, and Norris Durr; special friends, Diane Fair, James “Big Teddy” Hoard, Rick Hollis, Sonny “King” Hodge, Marie Hunt, Valerie Hord, Frank Richardson, Rosa Freeman and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am - 12 noon on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Service by Schoedinger, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus, Ohio 43229 where the funeral service will follow at 12 noon with Pastor Gaius Griffea of New Haven Church officiating.
