Anthony "Tony" Scott Beck

Anthony "Tony" Scott Beck, age 21, died suddenly on January 9, 2017. He was born October 12, 1995 to Robb Beck and Rita A. (McDevitt) Beck in Columbus, Ohio. Tony was a 2014 graduate of St. Francis DeSales High School where he played on the football team and was active in many other sporting activities. After high school Tony went to the Ohio State University in Newark and had attended classes at Columbus State. He was an extremely motivated and determined young gentleman. He loved his family the most and his family is heartbroken over his sudden passing. Tony will be remembered for outgoing nature, his energetic personality, and most importantly a devoted and loving, son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew and friend. He is survived by his beloved parents, Robb Beck and Rita Beck; brothers, Paul (Maggie) Sherry, Matt (Shawn) Sherry and Robby Beck; nephew, Blake Sherry; paternal grandparents, Donald Beck and Linda Beck; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Rita McDevitt; aunts and uncles, Christine (Donna) McDevitt; Julia McDevitt, Joe McDevitt, Jr., Tim (Betsy) Beck, Karyn (Jeff) Hunter and Tracy Wagoner; cousins, Luke McDevitt, Heidi Beck, Maggie Beck, Kris Mitchel, Marina Mitchel and Matthew Mitchel; special great-uncles, Jim and Jeff Dixon; girlfriend, Melanie Murray; God parents, Linda and Jerry Niro; along with many other extended family and close friends. Family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 13, 2017 at St. Matthias Catholic Church 1582 Ferris Road. Fr. Thomas Petry, Celebrant.
