Mr. Moore was born in Columbus, IN. on August 16, 1935, the son of the late Lowell and Oreen Eddy Moore.
He married Janet Peel June 18, 1955 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Columbus, IN. with Pastor Carl T. Geist presiding.
Mr. Moore was a self- employed manufacturer. He manufactured fishing lures and owned Touchdown Lures. He was a former employee of A&P Grocery Store and the former owner of Jonesville Grocery Store.
He was a Columbus High School class of 1953 Graduate. Mr. Moore was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Columbus, IN. where he was an usher. He was also a member of the Jonesville Bass Club and the National Tackle Association.
He was an avid fisherman and he was a former volunteer basketball coach at Jonesville Lutheran Elementary School.
A memorial service celebrating the life of Mr. Moore will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Myers-Reed Chapel at 3729-25th St., Columbus, IN. 47203 with Pastor Mark Teike officiating.
Calling hours will be from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, St. Peter’s Lutheran Church or to St. Peter’s Lutheran School.

Surviving with his wife of fifty-six years are two daughters, Anita (Steve) Smith of Bloomington, IN. and Cynthia (Jeff) Shoaf of Hope, IN.; a son, Mike (Kris) Moore of Columbus, IN.; four sisters, Joyce (Ron) Spalding of Brownsburg, IN., Norma (Bob) Mote of Columbus, IN., Sharon (Ernest) Mote of Hope, IN. and Judy (Bill) Seegers of Westport, IN.; eleven grandchildren, Keith and Kris Griner, Leah and Jameson Moore and Christa (Chris) Ricketts all of Columbus, IN., Alonzo (Megan) Shoaf of Mason, IL., Brittany (Kyle) Shepherd of Lebanon, IN., Darcy Shoaf of Provo, Utah, Emma Shoaf of Logan, Utah and Frances and Gwen Shoaf both of Hope, IN.; and six great grandchildren.
Along with his parents, Mr. Moore was also preceded in death by a sister, Dora Lee.
